Available specifically on the PNC560 model, the built-in infrared scanner head is designed for all-in-one ease of use in warehouse, delivery, inventory, and medical applications. It reads 1D and 2D barcodes and QR codes in milliseconds from up to two feet away. The Android operating system fully supports scanner apps, and an optional Android Application Package (APK) is available for integrating the scanner functionality with other proprietary applications.

Software security includes a secure boot and Android file-based encryption to prevent unauthorized access and ensure safety from virus or hacker attacks.
